JMU Libraries are hosting a series of Maker Sprints this year. Everyone in the JMU community is welcome to participate. The next Maker Sprint will be October 17th at the Forbes Costume Shop located in Estes Center 1215 beginning at 6 pm!
At the beginning of each Sprint, which will last about three hours, we'll announce a challenge or problem to solve. You then have the rest of the time to envision and create your solution. We'll provide equipment, supplies, advice, and some great snacks! At the end of the sprint, you'll present your project to a group of judges, who will select winners and present prizes based on creative use of materials, presentation, and, of course, how well you solved the problem!
The Maker Sprints are a great way to get hands-on experience with a variety of technologies, to learn more about the many resources available to makers on campus, and to meet fellow makers and would-be makers.
